Music Review by Julie Santing

How can we be silent
by Barlowgirl

Style: rock/pop

The latest Barlowgirl release is in my personal opinion, their best yet. It’s amazing to see how they have grown both spiritually and musically in three albums. Musically they have most definitely grown. They have always known how to combine the ballad type song and rock genre and this element is definitely not missing. At first glance it seemed that this CD was a lot quieter than their two previous projects but quiet is definitely not missing in “the Guy song” or “Million Voices”. All in all, the CD is a joy to listen to.

Now for the most important part: the spiritual! I can find no faults no there. Barlowgirl’s music has always been an outlet for absolute honesty about where they stand with God. Because of this honesty they have had the amazing ability to impact many people. Songs like “Here’s My Life” and “I Don’t Regret” have become my own anthems. “Keep Quiet” put into words exactly what my struggle has been with telling other people about Jesus. Raw and honest this CD has challenged me in areas were many sermons have not even dared enter.

A must have for all Barlowgirl fans and highly recommended to everyone else.
